about Kati Lamkin (Edit Lady)
Kati started in the entertainment world acting when she was three years old. She acted with numerous theatre groups in and around Houston, Texas, then began to teach improvisation and on camera classes at Mercury Studio and UNICORN School of Acting. She eventually began to work more and more behind the scenes of stage and camera, and later wrote and directed many plays for USA Theatre, where she was Technical Director for ten years.
Kati moved to Los Angeles, California in August 2002. Since moving to LA, she has worked on several independent projects and student films. Kati has produced several shorts, including A Summer Sonata. She also was Executive Producer for all 11 films of “Project Create”, where short films were written in one month and filmed in one day.
Kati studied with David Jakubovic for two years perfecting her editing skills. She currently edits feature & short films, pilots, music videos as well as demo reels. Kati also works as a freelance Casting Assistant for film, television and commercial Casting Directors.
Kati has the experience and creativity to effectively deliver what a client needs. Clients have been cast in major parts directly from the demo reels she has edited, which shows the impact of a well-edited demo reel.
